If you run retreats, you already know the difficulty: most venues either want a cut of your programme or put you in a room next to somebody else's conference. Here you take the whole property and run it your way. The lounge and library clear for practice, the dining room seats sixteen around one table for shared meals, and the gardens open onto the Mourne Mountains on one side and the Irish Sea on the other. Two hot tubs and a sauna for the wind-down. The setting does a lot of the work — there is very little noise here beyond weather and sheep. We are self-catering, which means you control the food entirely: cook as a group, bring your own chef, or arrange full-day meals through our local catering partner. Bring your own teachers, therapists and practitioners. We provide the building and stay out of your way.

Eight bedrooms, every one en suite, sleeping sixteen. For retreat guests paying a premium, their own room and their own bathroom is usually the difference between a booking and a hesitation. Room for four more on airbeds, and day visitors welcome if you're running sessions for a wider group. £700 per night midweek for the whole property, £900 at weekends. At sixteen that's £44 or £56 per person for the accommodation, which leaves you room to price your programme sensibly. Midweek is quieter and cheaper, and most retreat organisers find their guests can flex. Fifteen minutes from Newcastle, under an hour from Belfast. Free parking, WiFi throughout, dog friendly. Hiking from the door, Murlough Beach and the Silent Valley a short drive, and the seaweed baths in Newcastle if you want an off-site afternoon. All eight bedrooms are on the first floor with stair access only — worth checking against your guest list before you market the dates. Tell us your dates, numbers and what your programme involves, and we'll come back with availability and a price for the whole property.
