Training that has to stick needs two things a hotel meeting room rarely gives you: no distractions, and enough time for the material to settle. Running it residentially, in a house your group has entirely to itself, does both. The dining room seats sixteen around one table and works as a plenary space. The library and the lounge give you two more rooms, so you can break into groups and reconvene without anyone leaving the building or waiting for a lift. High-speed WiFi throughout. Bring a flip chart or a portable screen — we don't pretend to be a conference centre, and most trainers find the room works better precisely because it doesn't look like one. Because we run exclusive-use and self-catering, you bring in whoever you need. Your own trainer, facilitator or assessor, on your own schedule, with no venue package dictating when lunch happens. Cook as a group or arrange full-day meals through our local catering partner.

Eight bedrooms, all en suite, sleeping sixteen, with space for four more on airbeds. Day visitors are welcome, so delegates who can't stay overnight can still attend the sessions. £700 per night midweek for the whole property, which is £44 per person at sixteen, beds included. £900 at weekends, or £56 each. Priced per property, so the figure doesn't change if two people drop out. Fifteen minutes from Newcastle, under an hour from Belfast, Newry and Lisburn. Free parking, fully licensed, dog friendly. Two hot tubs, a BBQ area and the Mourne Mountains at the end of the drive for when the day is done. All eight bedrooms are on the first floor with stair access only — please tell us in advance if anyone in your group has mobility requirements. Send us your dates, delegate numbers and what the course needs to cover, and we'll come back with availability and a total price.
